Chocoholics quickly filled the comments, with one joking the treats, which come in flavours including Caramilk, Oreo, Peppermint, and Turkish Delight, were “like crack”.
The crispy, candy-coated, milk chocolate-flavoured eggs, which were on special for $7, were also sold out on the Woolworths online shopping website today.

A Woolworths spokesperson said the bite-sized delights were a perennial Easter favourite.
“Cadbury Mini Eggs are one of our Easter top sellers and they are a seasonal product with fixed supply.
“High demand this year has led to some stores selling out faster than anticipated.”
The spokesperson encouraged customers to check their local stores as stock levels may vary.
The Warehouse said the treats remained widely available across its stores.
“Cadbury’s Mini Eggs are super-popular this time of year and we have good overall stock levels across the motu to refill any shelves running low,” a spokesperson said.
A Cadbury spokesperson said the “Mini Egg pinch” was being felt across the supply chain.
“The Cadbury Mini Eggs shortage is no yolk,” they said.
The company said the treats were produced in Europe where factories balancing global demand have limited capacity.
“We have asked, and argued for more of the ‘Mini Egg pie’ as popularity has grown over the past four years,” the spokesperson said.
However, “current demand remains ahead of our ability to keep everyone happy”.
In the meantime, they encouraged fans to “enjoy these little balls of happiness when you find them”.
