Shane Flanagan has added a veteran flyer to his squad, with Titans gun Phillip Sami signing on join the Dragons from the 2027 season onwards.

According to Code Sports, the Red V won the battle for his signature, with the experienced winger set to sign a three-year deal until the end of the 2029 season.

Sami will be officially unveiled as a Dragons player during the week.

The 28-year-old’s future at the Titans was in limbo at the end of the 2025 season, having been given permission to depart the Gold Coast club.

However, rookie coach Josh Hannay had a change of heart, but also stalled tabling an official extension due to the club’s salary cap pressures.

That allowed the Dragons to move in to secure an experienced figure, who made his debut in 2018 and has gone on to play 145 NRL games to date.

He also sits second on the Gold Coast’s all-time try scorers list with 71 four-pointers, sitting behind only Anthony Don who has 85.
