The Chiefs will return home from their Aussie swing with a win, after overcoming Western Force 24-14 at Perth
After letting a halftime lead slip away against ACT Brumbies last week, the Hamilton-based side let their hosts back into this contest, when they levelled 14-14 soon after the break.
A try from hooker Samisoni Taukei’aho, converted by Damian McKenzie, put them ahead again, but they had to withstand 10 minutes shorthanded, when prop Ollie Norris was yellow-carded late, before McKenzie slotted a penalty to put the result beyond doubt.
The outcome puts the Chiefs into fifth on the competition table, with a home fixture against NSW Waratahs looming next Saturday.
