Former “Idol Philippines” contestant Matty Juniosa earned the coveted Golden Buzzer on Britain’s Got Talent.
The 27-year-old singer received a standing ovation from judges and the audience after performing Prince’s “Purple Rain,” prompting Simon Cowell to press the Golden Buzzer and send him straight to the semifinals.

“It’s like when you discover a new food or restaurant—you want to come back for more,” judge Alesha Dixon said.
“It was an amazing audition, and I just love you,” Amanda Holden added, while musician-boxer KSI praised Juniosa’s strong stage presence.
Cowell described the performance as one of the biggest audience reactions the show has seen.
“To everyone in this audience, I’m going to say this is your Golden Buzzer as well,” he said.
Juniosa, who moved to Glasgow three years ago, works part-time as a waiter. During the audition, he shared his dream of performing for large audiences and pursuing music full-time.
