Whether you are sending money or trying to receive a payment, confusion regarding your transaction type is where many people get confused and scammed. People often act quickly or simply out of greed and end up making the wrong move. Therefore it is important to remember the following:

QR codes are meant only for sending money, not receiving it. If Someone asks you to scan a QR Code to receive money, Be very cautious. You never need to enter a UPI PIN to receive money.

As soon as you Enter your UPI PIN, you are actually authorizing a payment from your account. If you are asked to enter a PIN after scanning any code, this means the money will go out of your account—not come in.
