PetaPixel has partnered with the fine folks at Harper Finch to deliver a tight collection of limited edition merch, featuring new “Film on Location, You Cowards” and LoCA designs, the long-awaited arrival of BiLPH Hunter, and more!

Harper Finch is a curator of some excellent photography-inspired shirts, which is what put them on PetaPixel‘s radar earlier this year. For viewers of the PetaPixel YouTube channel and The PetaPixel Podcast, Chris Niccolls has been sporting some of the brand’s designs for the past couple of months.

Several t-shirts hang on white hangers from a metal rack, including a white shirt with a camera and heartbeat line graphic, and a gray shirt partially visible with the word "PHOTOG" printed on it. A large window is in the background.

A woman with curly hair stands next to a camera on a tripod, wearing a black T-shirt that says "What the f" with drawings of camera aperture icons. She is indoors near a large window.

After seeing the quality of the materials and uniqueness of the designs, a collaboration between the two brands felt like a no-brainer. These shirts use higher-end fabrics that are super comfortable — they’ll last a long time even when you’ll invariably wear them more.

A man with gray hair and a beard stands with hands on hips, wearing a black T-shirt that says “LOCA” in bold, outlined letters. He is looking slightly to the side against a plain white background.

A man with short hair and a beard stands against a plain background, wearing a navy blue "Bird Hunter" T-shirt and jeans, with one hand in his pocket and a relaxed expression.

“If you know, you know. That’s always been the spirit of our shirts, and PetaPixel has that same energy,” Harper Finch says of the collaboration “PetaPixel has always been a staple in the photography world. Partnering with them feels like a full circle moment. The best Harper Finch designs are the ones not everyone gets. It’s like a quiet signal between photographers, and that’s exactly what makes this collaboration work.”

A selection of eight Petapixel shirts and hoodies are displayed in two rows; designs include “Bokeh Hunter,” “LoCA” in neon, “Film on Location,” “PetaPixel,” and a white shirt with an f/1.2 lens graphic.

The limited-edition drop features two new longitudinal chromatic aberration (LoCA) designs, a refined new look for “Film on Location, You Cowards,” and the long-awaited arrival of BiLPH Hunter — “birds I’d like to photograph,” of course. The origin of the term came about last year and has been an instant hit among bird photography fans.

“Many of our creative ideas for the show are born from the time spent on the way to filming locations. We brainstorm ideas and make lots of jokes. I believe we were on our way to shoot bird photos for a telephoto lens review, and I mentioned that I’d like to get a photograph of something good that day,” Niccolls says. “I said something to the effect of ‘now that’s a bird I’d like to photograph!’ And then as an obvious reference to the other similarly worded concepts out there, stated ‘A BiLPH!’ Thus was born the catchphrase that has stuck with us ever since.”

A man with gray hair and a beard is wearing a green t-shirt that says "BIRPH HUNTER" with a bird graphic and the text "BIRDS I'D LIKE TO PHOTOGRAPH." He is smiling and standing against a white background.

Now anyone can search for BiLPHs and let the world know with a hoodie or t-shirt, both available in a range of colors.

“There’s something cool about building for photographers and being recognized by a platform photographers already trust,” Harper Finch adds. “This just feels natural. Harper Finch is for photographers, and PetaPixel is too.”

The Harper Finch x PetaPixel drop is a limited-edition offering that won’t be around for long: just until May 15! Check it out at Harper Finch’s website today!
