Khana Evans, a self-taught oil painter, is exhibiting her work at the Friends of the RWA Exhibition at the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol.

The free exhibition recently opened and is running until Sunday, May 17.

Ms Evans said: “I was so happy to find out that my painting was accepted for the exhibition and I feel incredibly honoured to be given the opportunity to exhibit at such an inspiring gallery again, alongside so many talented artists.

“It’s a moment I’m really proud of.”

Her selected painting, Glasgow Girls, depicts three young women from the alternative subculture, exploring themes of identity and belonging.

The work celebrates subjects Ms Evans feels connected to, including subcultures and working-class British life.

Her work first featured at the Royal West of England Academy in 2025, when a painting she produced featured as the 172nd Annual Open Exhibition’s lead image.

Ms Evans has also appeared on a television art show hosted by businessman Charles Saatchi and has previously been commissioned by Hooch, the British alcopop brand.
