An arrest has been made after a man died in Wainuiomata on Thursday morning.

A minor has been arrested in relation to the death of a man in the Lower Hutt suburb of Wainuiomata.
Police were called to Wainuiomata Road on Thursday morning, after report of a man found unresponsive.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Inspector Nick Pritchard said the death was initially treated as unexplained, but Police are now investigating the matter as a homicide.
The young person, who was known to the man, has been charged with assault with a weapon.
Police are asking to hear from anyone who witnessed Thursday morning’s events unfolding, or who might have information to share.
