The Today show is one of the most-watched morning programmes in the United States and Guthrie has anchored the show since 2012.

No arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified.
The 84-year-old was last seen on January 31 when she was dropped at home by a family member.
Savannah Guthrie previously said she believes her mother is now “with God”, she told her Today show colleague Hoda Kotb.
She said during prayers she heard God speak to her.
“As I said to myself, ‘I can handle anything. I just can’t handle not knowing … I have to know’.
“And I heard a voice and it said: ‘You do know where she is. She’s with me’.”
After Nancy Guthrie disappeared, authorities released a video from her doorbell camera showing a man approaching the door in a balaclava, black gloves and wearing a backpack.
He was seen approaching the door and trying to block the camera with his hand. He was then seen going into the garden and covering the camera with plant material.

At the time of her disappearance, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos warned that Guthrie’s health could deteriorate quickly without heart medication, reported the BBC, saying she was not in good health.
On February 12, the FBI doubled its reward for information leading to the return of Guthrie from US$50,000 ($82,808) to US$100,000.
Retired FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer told Newsweek this was usually a bad sign.
“When I see the FBI is offering more money for information that tells me that the FBI doesn’t have the information.
“When you see a case quiet, where there’s no big amount of money offered, that means they are running leads, they really don’t need the public’s help. They need the public’s help right now.”

Shortly after Guthrie’s disappearance, a Californian man was arrested for sending a fake ransom text to Guthrie’s family.
The Attorney’s Office alleged during an investigation that suspect Derrick Callella was an imposter trying to take advantage of the situation for monetary gain.
