One person has been arrested following what police are describing as a “serious assault” in Hamilton.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Dominion Rd in Nawton at about 3pm this afternoon.

One person suffered minor injuries during the incident, police said.

Hato Hone St John confirmed
it sent an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle, but police said paramedics were stood down because the injured person refused medical treatment.
