Red Bull has officially confirmed Gianpiero Lambiase’s exit from the team.

Lambiase joined the Milton Keynes-based squad in 2015, working as Daniil Kvyat’s race engineer.

The Briton retained his role when Max Verstappen joined shortly after the 2016 campaign, and the two have since formed a historically successful alliance with four titles and over 70 race wins together.

Lambiase held various titles throughout his stint at Red Bull, with his most recent being Head of Racing towards the end of 2024.

However, his time with the team will now officially conclude in 2028.

Until his departure, Red Bull has communicated Lambiase will continue in his role as Verstappen’s engineer.

In a statement, Red Bull declared: “Red Bull Racing confirms that Gianpiero Lambiase will leave the team in 2028, when his current contract expires.

“’GP’ is a valued member of the Team, which he joined in 2015.

“Until his planned departure, ‘GP’ continues in his roles as head of racing and as race engineer to Max Verstappen.

“The team and he are fully committed to add more success to our strong track record together.”
