A gorgeous female elephant named Motif recently gave birth to a precious little baby boy, and he could not possibly be any cuter! As this adorable video shows, this precious little guy definitely has his momma’s good looks, although he is also quite shy. That’s not too surprising, though, because in this clip, this little guy is only four hours old!

Judging from this clip, it’s possible that this little baby elephant could also be something of a mama’s boy. He simply refuses to leave the shelter of his mom’s body in this footage. With that being said, we can’t really blame him; the world must be so big and new and potentially scary to him. If we were him, we wouldn’t leave Motif’s side either.

Viewers on social media had a lot to say about this one. Many people had questions about what they would name this “precious gem” of a baby boy elephant.

While other social media users commented on this video that the shelter that Motif and her baby are at has done a great thing, providing sanctuary for them like this: “Imagine if she weren’t with you. Her baby would be sold and taken from her to work for humans. Thanks to you, they are both safe and free to do what elephants should do!”

While other viewers on social media also felt this way and thanked this animal sanctuary for their services to these elephants: “Congrats, Aaron, for this rescue that allows Motif the ability to have her little boy in a safe place and to give him the chance to have a real elephant life!”

This Is Sanctuary Really Cares About Elephant Freedom

As this other video shows, Planting Peace is a rescue organization that really cares about an elephant’s quality of life. In this clip, Kali, the elephant, is finally getting to walk around free after spending the previous 65 years in chains!

She may have lived a very hard life up to this point, but now Kali is enjoying her welcome buffet, which is a heart-shaped pile of food that consists of bananas and watermelon slices.

After spending so much time chained up, we hope that Kali will enjoy spending time with the other free and rescued elephants at the sanctuary. Maybe she will become friends with Motif and her new baby? Wouldn’t that just be adorable?
