Gatwick-based Unum has launched a business class seat at the show currently underway in Hamburg.
Unum Two is a 21.5” wide forward-facing seat offering direct aisle access, a privacy door, and what the company claims is the largest side furniture of any forward-facing seat.
The seat incorporates Unum’s patented Scimitar mechanism, which reduces part count and simplifies MRO processes.
Chris Brady, CEO & Founder of, Unum, says: “When we first shared the forward-facing concept three years ago, we were clear about the ambition of Unum Two. Now we are presenting a seat that has been through the full discipline of design, engineering and testing, and is ready for airline programmes”.
The aircraft cabin show opened this morning and runs until Thursday.
