A section of State Highway 14 has been closed and major delays are expected after two crashes on the same stretch of road in Northland.
Emergency services were first called to a single-vehicle crash in Tangiteroria about 2.40pm.
Police said initial indications suggest serious injuries.
A second crash
then happened on State Highway 14 in Maunu, involving two vehicles and minor injuries.
