Full list of DWP, HMRC and Social Security Scotland payments which might arrive early due to two bank holidays in May.Reasons your Universal Credit may be cut by DWP

People due a State Pension or benefit payment at the start of next month could see the money arrive early due to an upcoming bank holiday. HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and Social Security Scotland have confirmed some scheduled payments due on Monday, May 4 will be made early, while the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is expected to follow a similar revised payment pattern.

This is because DWP offices and phone lines will be closed over the bank holiday and payments are typically made when all services are available, including webchat and Jobcentre Plus offices.

Payments including State Pension, Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Child Benefits, Adult Disability Payment (ADP) and Attendance Allowance due on Monday, May 4 will land in bank accounts on Friday, May 1.
