This Morning: Ben asks Sheridan Smith about her love life
Actress Sheridan Smith has opened up about her romantic life, revealing that her son frequently questions her about it.
The 44-year-old joined Thursday’s This Morning to speak about her latest drama, The Cage, with hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.
The forthcoming BBC thriller, set to broadcast on BBC One on 26th April, sees Sheridan portray Leanne, who conspires to rob her local casino with colleague Matty (Michael Socha).
Penned by Tony Schumacher, Sheridan was delighted to express her enthusiasm for the upcoming production with the This Morning hosts.
However, as the discussion turned to Sheridan’s previous and future projects, Ben felt compelled to ask the Gavin and Stacey actress about her romantic situation and whether she’s currently in a relationship, reports the Daily Star.

Following their conversation about Sheridan’s forthcoming work in Australia, Ben enquired: “What about, because 2026 is a big year for you Sheridan, what about love?
“Is there any, you know… I feel like someone with your energy and passion, is that part of your thinking?
“Australia might be some new areas for you to explore?”

Sheridan responded: “People do keep asking me, actually and since I had my son, he’s the man of my world, but even he’s asking me now! He’s even asking, ‘are you gonna get a boyfriend, mummy?'”
The actress then suggested she might “manifest” a new partner while filming her latest drama in Australia. Reports suggest that Sheridan has experienced a turbulent love life, which has included a romance with her Gavin and Stacey co-star, a relationship with a Hollyoaks actor, and a broken engagement.
Heartbreak has continued to follow her, as one of her ex-partners — whom she dated several years ago — passed away aged 39 last year.
Sheridan’s love life came into question
Sheridan had a brief romance with celebrity stylist Graham Nation in 2017, at the time describing him as her “dream man.”
However, following their split, reports emerged that she was left devastated when he moved out of her London home. At the time, a source told The Sun: “There is no animosity and Graham is still there for her, but she feels quite lonely at the moment.”
