A police investigation is under way after a baby suffered serious unexplained injuries at a Christchurch property.
Several police officers could be seen on Tuesday at a property on Barbadoes St.
RNZ understands the investigation relates to a baby who is in Christchurch Hospital.

Officers are undertaking enquiries to establish how the infant came to be injured, including speaking with family members, said Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Johnson.
Residents of Barbadoes Street may see a police presence in the coming days, as officers conduct area enquiries.
It’s understood the baby’s injuries are being treated as unexplained.
