The Architectural Review is 130 this year. To mark this landmark anniversary, the AR is collaborating with London-based designer Margaret Howell on a series of limited-edition cover prints, launching on Thursday 14 May at Margaret Howell’s flagship London store.

Join us to celebrate 130 years of AR covers, with personal contributions from AR friends and co-conspirators – including Hélène Binet, DK-CM, Arinjoy Sen and many more.
The five cover prints, each produced in a limited edition of just 200, were personally selected by Margaret Howell. ‘After our exhibition of AR covers in 2023, it was a pleasure to be asked to make another selection to celebrate the magazine’s 130th anniversary,’ Howell explains.
The curated selection of ‘striking’ covers were chosen from the AR’s archive of over 1,500 issues, selected by Howell for their ‘unexpected, abstract nature’.
The selection includes AR covers from the 1940s to 1960s and features artwork by Le Corbusier among others.
Cover artwork will be printed on 350gsm Hahnemühle museum etching paper with an edition number and debossed with the AR monogram.
Limited-edition prints will be available for pre-order at the launch event and from the AR shop from Thursday 14 May until Sunday 14 June
