Liquid Instruments, a gadget manufacturing start-up founded by Australian National University scientists, is worth more than $400 million, after raising $70 million in a funding round led by a larger US-based rival and the federal government’s National Reconstruction Fund.
The little-known company’s measurement product is used by a number of major global firms, including Nvidia, Lockheed Martin, space technology company Blue Origin, PsiQuantum, electric carmaker BYD, and Intel to build their products. US rival Keysight Technologies has acquired an equity stake as the lead investor.
