The Wellington Phoenix were beaten 3-1 in the women’s A-League grand final by Melbourne City.
In the men’s A-League, Sydney needed a penalty shootout to overcome Newcastle Jets in the second leg of their semi-final at McDonald Jones Stadium. It sets up a grand final against Auckland FC at Go Media Stadium next Saturday.
