Jimmy Kimmel once again took aim at Donald Trump during his late night talk show
Jimmy Kimmel made his return to his late-night ABC show on Monday, May 18, wasting no time in firing shots at Donald Trump over the president’s recent trip to China.
The 58-year-old comedian took a week-long break, but for his first Jimmy Kimmel Live! episode back, he went straight into roasting President Trump, 79, targeting his China visit, which ran from May 13 to May 15.
During the broadcast, Kimmel joked that the president had traveled to China to “see all of the factories where his American First merchandise is made. You got to check on the hats.” It comes after Trump lashed out at a PBS reporter.

Kimmel also addressed Trump’s meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, 72, joking that Xi “did some handholding” and a “series of pity pats” when the two leaders came face to face.
After tearing into Trump’s China visit, Kimmel noted that the president “got back to the very serious business” of posting “crazy things” on his Truth Social platform. Trump has been flooding social media with AI-generated images, frequently sharing them deep into the night.

“I still don’t know if he understands that it isn’t real or not,” Kimmel admitted, before revealing the AI image Trump posted of himself walking with a handcuffed alien.”
He cautioned, “I’ll tell you what it means. It means the guy with the nuclear codes is out of his goddamn mind. That’s what it is.” Kimmel also highlighted an image Trump posted claiming he’s “aging in reverse.”
The comedian fired back, “Wearing diapers does not mean you’re aging in reverse.” Audiences were thoroughly enjoying Kimmel’s commentary, with one fan gushing on Instagram, “Jimmy, we love you. Please keep your spirit the way it is.”
Another echoed, “You are awesome, Jimmy, love your show!” With a third adding, “Laughed out load many times! Needed that tonight. Thank You!”

A fourth took a swipe at Trump, posting, “Out of his mind …is right…lol ..we love uuuuu Jimmy.” Kimmel had previously joked during an earlier Jimmy Kimmel Live! ABC has spent considerable sums due to its Trump commentary.
“It is very possible that no employee in the history of any company has cost their employer more than hiring me 24 years ago,” Kimmel declared during the May 13 broadcast.
He also acknowledged during that segment that he’s cost ABC, the network broadcasting his program, “a lot of money this year, billions.”
Despite occasional criticism Kimmel receives for targeting the president, he continues to use his late-night platform to ridicule Trump. Kimmel’s detractors have previously labeled him as suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS)” due to his relentless on-air mockery of the president.
