Prince William revealed his children’s favorite snack in an interview broadcast on May 22.
He appeared on the live radio show Heart Breakfast.
It’s the same snack that their great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, ate every single day.
Queen Elizabeth and her great-grandchildren might be from completely different generations of royals, but they have this favorite snack in common. On May 22, their father, Prince William, confirmed as much in a new radio interview.
Appearing on Heart Breakfast, the Prince of Wales detailed a typical morning in his family household with wife Kate Middleton and their three kids: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Louis.

When asked whether the house is “chaotic like most people’s” during the school year, her replied: “It can be. Depends.”
“If there’s a guitar lesson, we go in the morning, a music lesson, you’ve got to get guitar on the car,” William said. “‘No, we’re not taking the guitar, we’re sitting back for school.’ ‘Are we boarding and we’re not? Seeing friends? No, we’re not.’ So there’s all that going on in the morning,”

As fans of the British royal family might already know, Queen Elizabeth loved a jam sandwich herself. Her former chef, Darren McGrady, said she ate them every day for decades.
“The queen was served jam pennies in the nursery as a little girl. She’s had them for afternoon tea ever since,” he confirmed, according to the Associated Press. Jam pennies also come with butter, and as their name suggests, are typically cut into circles.
