With winter right around the corner, there are a few affordable items at Kmart that can keep you cosy without breaking the bank.

From heated throws to oil heaters, hand warmers and wearable blankets, you won’t have to shiver your way through winter.

One of the cheapest products in the range was the $10 Check Teddy Fleece Throw, priced at just $10, as well as the $29 Heated Foot Warmer.

Yahoo Australia’s Caitie Browne recently tested the $68 electric heated throw blanket from Kmart’s Marketplace and said it was a game-changer ahead of winter.

“I already have an electric blanket on my bed, but I wanted something that I could use while I’m sitting at my desk, when I’m working from home, or when I’m just rotting on the couch,” she said.

Caitie was surprised that it only took 30 seconds before she noticed the blanket getting warm.

The device comes with nine different heat settings, depending on how warm you want to be, as well as a built-in three-hour auto-off setting for safety and energy saving.

Kmart’s winter warmers you can throw over you or take on the go

Simon Robson helps Kmart buy items that Aussies will love and he told Yahoo Lifestyle there’s a “strong demand for winter warmers” right now as the mercury plunges.

“The key is choosing the right product for your space,” he said.

There are options ranging from $10 to $25 to keep your body warm this winter.

“The Heated Throw Sherpa ($42) remains a customer favourite for that feel-good comfort that makes winter nights something to look forward to,” Simon said.

If you’re looking for products to use on-the-go, the $25 hand warmers are a convenient way to keep those extremities toasty at home, work, or you’re travelling or camping.

“For a small little warmer, it’s very efficient and worth the price totally,” one customer wrote on the Kmart website.

“So far so good,” another added.

The $25 oscillating fan heater is a great option if you’re on a budget, but the experts at Canstar Blue weighed in on whether it’s worth buying.

“This Kmart Anko oscillating fan heater isn’t a bad buy as such, but online reviews suggest it’s quite noisy, so not ideal for light sleepers or working spaces,” the experts wrote.

“Other than that, it does the job.”

The product has two heat settings, an adjustable thermostat, and oscillation, which can evenly distribute heat throughout the room.

While it might be a bit more on the expensive side, Kmart’s $79 Flame Effect Fireplace Heater has become a bestseller recently.

“It’s getting a lot of attention online,” the retailer said, with Simon explaining it adds “both warmth” and a “cosy sense of ambience” to living areas.

This is because it mimics the look and feel of a real log fire, and can make you feel like you’re in a distant cabin nestled in the woods.

People who have bought them have raved about its “good value” and how great it looks at night.
