Police are seeking witnesses after a man was stabbed multiple times in the back in Whangārei on Sunday.
Police were called to an address on Townsend Place, Tikipunga, about 1.15am. They found a man with multiple stab wounds in the back. He was taken to hospital in a stable condition and is recovering from his injuries, Detective Senior Sergeant Shane Pilmer of Northland CIB said.
The victim was attending a party at the address with about 20 other people.
Police would like to hear from anyone with any information or footage in relation to the stabbing.
Detective Senior Sergeant Pilmer said information could be provided through 105 either online or by phone, quoting file number 260524/4981.
Information could also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
