Family Life Radio has named 20-year radio veteran Brenda Price its new afternoon host, starting July 13. Price will be heard on FLR’s network of 36 signals over 11 U.S. states.
With the addition of Price and a co-host to be named, current afternoon host Sam Kelly will move to middays, which had been handled by Ceci LaBarge since the passing in January of 15-year host Shannyn Caldwell.
Most recently, Price hosted afternoons at Media Ministries contemporary Christian “88.7 The Cross” KBMQ Monroe, LA, and earlier handled afternoons on Blue Ridge Broadcasting’s “The Light FM” WMIT Asheville, NC and middays at Pillar Media “Star 99.1” WAWZ Zarephath, NJ and Educational Media Foundation’s contemporary worship Air1 Radio. She has also worked with Christian FM Media Group, co-hosted mornings on WKRO Daytona Beach, FL and KUSJ Killeen, TX and was newscaster for the syndicated “Lex & Terry” morning show.
“We are thrilled to welcome Brenda to the Family Life Radio afternoon team,” FLR Chief Broadcast Officer Adam Biddell says. “Her energy, authenticity and heart for ministry align beautifully with our mission of helping people experience hope through Christ. We are excited for listeners to get to know her and be encouraged by her each afternoon.”
Price adds, “After a season of serving, growing and earning a college degree, I’m excited to be returning to Christian radio with Family Life Radio. I love sharing Jesus! That’s my superpower. I love talking about how God shows up in everyday life, and I can’t wait to encourage listeners and remind them that no matter what they’re facing, there is always hope in Jesus.”
