Baltimore Public Media, parent organization of news/talk WYPR (88.1) and adult alternative “Total Music Discovery” WTMD (89.7), has elected four new members to its Board of Directors.

The new directors will begin their terms at the start of BPM’s 2027 fiscal year, serving alongside current directors in helping to guide the organization’s future and ensuring its long-term sustainability.

The newly elected directors include: NPR “All Things Considered” and “Consider This” podcast co-host Juana Summers, who has spent more than a decade covering politics, public affairs and national news with NPR, The Associated Press, CNN and Politico; Baltimore Community Foundation Associate VP of Marketing and Communications Becky Eisen; entrepreneur, investor and ecosystem builder Kory Bailey, whose work has helped strengthen Baltimore’s innovation economy; and RS Partners, Inc. founder and MDDC Press Association and Executive Alliance Executive Director Rebecca Snyder, who has spent more than two decades in leadership roles across the news media and nonprofit sectors.

“The Board’s newest members join BPM at a pivotal moment for public media,” the organization’s news release says. “Their election reflects the organization’s commitment to strong leadership and a diversity of perspectives as it continues to navigate a rapidly changing media landscape and pursue its mission in Baltimore and beyond.”

Baltimore Public Media President and CEO Craig Swagler adds, “Becky, Kory, Rebecca and Juana each bring extraordinary experience and perspectives spanning journalism, philanthropy, business, and civic engagement. Their collective insight will help us continue to grow our impact, strengthen our service to the community, and position Baltimore Public Media for an even stronger future.”
