LUMBERTON — The Robeson Art Guild is giving local artists a place to create, exhibit and connect with the community. Located at 109 West Ninth Street in Lumberton, the nonprofit organization welcomes visitors to explore rotating art exhibitions while supporting artists from across Robeson County and surrounding areas.
The Guild House is open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., when visitors can browse the current exhibition and shop for one-of-a-kind artwork created by local artists. On Mondays from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Guild members gather for an open painting session, providing an opportunity to work on projects, share ideas and enjoy the company of fellow artists.
The Artist’s Choice 2026 and Remembrance Poppy Exhibition is the Guild’s current exhibition. It opened last month and will remain on display through July 9, according to Guild member Collin Bell. The Guild rotates its exhibits more than six times each year, ensuring visitors always have something new to experience.
Membership is open to anyone interested in supporting the arts. Annual dues are $40 for individual artists and $50 for families. Members have access to painting sessions, exhibitions, workshops and other Guild activities throughout the year.
In addition to the gallery, the Robeson Art Guild features a small gift shop offering original artwork created by local artists. Pieces typically start at $10, making it easy for visitors to take home a unique piece of local art while supporting the creative community.
