Actors Joe Alwyn and Sarah Pidgeon’s budding relationship seems to be going well, with the pair spotted in an intimate moment during a day out at a London park this week.

British-born Alwyn, 35, and American Pidgeon, 29, were seen kissing as they lay on a picnic blanket in the park.

The pair were first spotted together last month, enjoying a PDA-filled date on the streets of New York that lasted for several hours.

Alwyn’s new relationship comes as his very famous ex prepares for the celeb wedding of the year: Taylor Swift will marry Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden this weekend, in a celebration expected to host upwards of 1,100 guests.

Alwyn dated Swift from 2016 to 2023, and even became her musical collaborator, earning co-writing credits on several of her songs, including half a dozen from her 2020 album folklore.

The year after they split, Alwyn confessed it had been “hard to navigate” the end of a relationship with arguably the most famous woman in the world – and one who comes with an army of rabid fans ready to defend her honour.

“I would hope that anyone and everyone can empathise and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years,” he told The Times.

“That is a hard thing to navigate. What is unusual and abnormal in this situation is that, one week later, it’s suddenly in the public domain and the outside world is able to weigh in.”

Alwyn said that despite rampant speculation about what had caused the split, “there is always going to be a gap between what is known and what is said. I have made my peace with that.”

It’s not known exactly how long Alwyn and Pidgeon have been dating. The actress’ career skyrocketed this year when she played the late Carolyn Bessette Kennedy in the acclaimed series Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr & Carolyn Bessette.

She’s widely considered a top contender to earn an Emmy nomination in the Best Actress – Limited Series category when the nominations are revealed next week.

After his relationship with Swift, Alwyn was briefly linked to his co-star in The Brutalist Emma Laird in 2024, though neither confirmed a romantic relationship.

Alwyn will next be seen in the upcoming thriller Panic Carefully, alongside Julia Roberts, Elizabeth Olsen and Eddie Redmayne. The film is set for release in February next year.
