The cloud modernisation programme aims to migrate approximately 4,000 servers in the initial four-year term, and up to 11,000 in aggregate across the full panel terms. Approval for the programme business case is expected during July, Health NZ stated.

For the cloud platform panel, the agency is looking for providers to supply public and private cloud platform and workload hosting services.

“We are looking for providers who have the capability, experience and infrastructure to deliver robust, modern digital platforms to consolidate Health NZ’s fragmented systems, while ensuring reliable, secure, and resilient technology platforms that support continuous healthcare service delivery and enhance operational efficiency,” the RFP document noted.
