The awards are organised by the Employers and Manufacturers Association (EMA) on behalf of ExportNZ.
EMA’s head of export and membership, Simon Devoy, said the awards highlighted the dedication and skill of the people driving success.
“ExportNZ is proud to recognise the Bay of Plenty’s role in bolstering New Zealand’s export sector,” he said.
“The awards celebrate the community of business, providing an opportunity for peer-to-peer networking and knowledge-sharing among like-minded, exported-oriented companies.”
Chair of ExportNZ’s Bay of Plenty executive committee Warwick Downing said the awards shone a well-deserved spotlight on the “incredible exporters” in the Bay “… who work tirelessly to bring New Zealand products and services to the world”.
“Equally important is the opportunity they provide to bring the exporting community together, to share stories, challenges, and insights that help drive the sector forward.”
ASB is the principal sponsor of the awards; head of trade finance Mike Atkins said they were “proud” to support the finalists driving growth, innovation and international success for the region.
“At ASB we are passionate about enabling exporters to scale-up, be it through working capital and debt capital funding or other advisory initiatives across productivity, sustainability, food and fibre.”

The Services to Export award is a nomination-only award recognising an individual or business, who may or may not be directly involved with exporting, but has made a significant contribution to exporting success.
The winner will be announced on August 7 at an awards gala at Mercury Baypark, with the theme On the World Stage.
