The Gallery of Modern Art Waterford (GOMA) is celebrating its 10th anniversary in the city with the launch of a special anniversary program. As part of the celebrations, the gallery has announced a series of residencies that will take place throughout the summer and autumn of 2026.
The initiative will support artists working across a range of disciplines, providing opportunities for creative development and public engagement. The residency programme forms part of a wider programme of events marking the gallery’s decade-long contribution to Waterford’s cultural and artistic landscape.
To mark the milestone, GOMA offered 10 month-long residencies for artists based in Ireland.
Selected artists will receive studio space, accommodation and a €1,000 bursary, with the programme focusing on artistic research, experimentation and professional development rather than the production of a final exhibition.
