Carrie Bickmore has been soaking up the sun in the Maldives on a girls’ trip with her daughters weeks after her return to air following her vocal cord surgery.
Bickmore, 45, spent a week on the island with her two daughters, Evie,11, Adelaide, 7, as well as a close friend and her two daughters.

Bickmore admitted she thought she’d only ever visit the well-known honeymoon destination but making it a girls trip had been even more fulfilling.
“I always thought I couldn’t come to the most romantic place on earth without a lover,” she wrote in the caption of one post.
“I just spent a week in the Maldives with a bestie and our girls and it’s been one of the most soul-filling weeks of my life.
“Female friendships are just the best 🥹❤️”
The beloved radio host shared a collection of snaps from her holiday including plenty of her swimming in turquoise blue water, some adorable candids with her daughters and some memorable selfies with her friend.
The trip comes one month after she returned to the airways following her vocal cord surgery.

In a May episode of Carrie & Tommy, Bickmore revealed she visited an ear, nose and throat specialist who’d warned her vocal cords were “in a very bad way”.
“My voice hasn’t been right for some time,” the media personality said sounding audibly hoarse.
“Things are not good, so I’m going to have to take some time off work to get it fixed. If I don’t get it fixed now, they [vocal cords] will be permanently damaged, which will be very unfortunate for my job…”
Bickmore became teary as she faced the reality of being away from work and potentially losing her voice.
“I just don’t like letting people down and I don’t like letting myself down. I also really love my job and don’t want to be forced not to never do it again,” she said shakily.

“I’m taking a little bit of time off to get it fixed. I’m hoping that if I get onto it now, it will be a non-permanent thing.”
At the start of June, the 45-year-old was hospitalised to undergo surgery to fix the issue at hand.
She shared a photo from her hospital bed to Instagram, captioning it: “Ok voice… time to come back…🤞.”
