Firstly, don’t shoot the messenger, OK? We didn’t want this, either. But it’s sad news for Colin From Accounts fans.
After a successful two seasons and a third about to get underway, the popular Aussie series, airing on BINGE, is going to be wrapping up after the new season is done.
Easy Tiger and BINGE confirmed that the third and final chapter for the Logie award-winning series will air from July 27, with creators and stars Harriet Dyer and Patrick Brammall delivering the news themselves in a hilarious video to fans. Watch it above.
Their mood was pretty clear – it was time to move on, even though they know fans will be disappointed with their decision.
“First we just want to say season three is coming at you. We really hope you enjoy it. We love it and we hope you do too,” Brammall said in the clip, before real-life wife Dyer dropped the bombshell announcement no one saw coming, given the series’ cult following both here and abroad.
“We also need to add that this is our last season,” she said.
The couple later shared that the decision was made because they believed that creatively, it felt like the right time to call it quits to save themselves from having to “flog a dead horse” when fans eventually grew tired of the cast and storylines.

“Creatively it feels like the right time to say goodbye to Colin From Accounts after three seasons. We love everything about making this show. From writing all 24 episodes and producing with our amazing partners at Easy Tiger, to acting on set with our brilliant cast and spunky crew, to sitting in the edit with our wonderful post team where we are currently wrapping things up,” Brammall further explained in a statement.
“We’re going to miss making this show terribly, but we hope you love season three as much as we do. Thank you for watching, it means the world.”
When Dyer and Brammall shared the news online, fans were quick to flood the comments in complete disbelief.
“Guys … you just ruined my day,” one fan wrote on Instagram.
Another just screamed “NOOOOOOO” while others respected their decision to call it quits to pursue other opportunities.
“Well I’m happy sad. Thank you for our adventure. If you could just come up with another sitcom with a dog I’d be really grateful. If you guys could be in it well I guess that would be okay,” one fan wrote.
“Brits & Aussie(s) know when to end a show. They don’t flog it till it’s dead like the Yanks. Can’t wait for this season. Can’t wait to see what is next for both of you,” another shared.
Sure, we’re all disappointed, but from the sounds of things, this new season perfectly wraps things up with viewers finally getting the answers they want after the season two cliffhanger, which saw microbrewery owner Gordon (Brammall) propose to Ashley (Dyer) at her best friend Megan’s (Emma Harvie) wedding to Rumi (Virginia Gay).
