The start of a Supercars race at the Ipswich Super440.
The Repco Supercars Championship’s Sprint Cup will conclude at Queensland Raceway, where the first piece of the Finals Series puzzle will be decided.
The winner of the Repco Sprint Cup will book their place in the first round of the Finals Series and give themselves a 25-point leg-up for the first round of the elimination races.
The Finals Series begins at the Gold Coast 500 before the Sandown 500 and then the winner-takes-all Adelaide Grand Final.
The Ipswich Super440 will feature two 120km (39 laps) races on Saturday and a 200km feature on Sunday (62 laps).
Race 1 and Race 3 will be on the soft tyre while Race 2 will be on the super soft tyre.
The Sunday distance is one lap less than the that prescribed last year. Supercars has trimmed a number of 200km contests this season to ensure all cars can make it on just two pit stops.

There will be 27 cars in action with wildcards from Matt Stone Racing (Aaron Seton), Team 18 (Bayley Hall) and Tickford Racing (Ben Gomersall) joining the field.
Supercars will be supported by Porsche Equity-One Carrera Cup Australia, Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia GR Cup, the Trans Am Cup Series, and Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series.
