NZTA says “traffic remains heavy” following a three-vehicle crash on State Highway 1 between Constellation Drive and Tristram Avenue in Auckland this morning.
Police said the crash, involving three vehicles, was reported to officers just before 7am, near the Upper Harbour Highway on-ramp.
“There are no reports of injury,” a police spokesperson said.
“One southbound lane has been blocked and motorists are advised to expect delays while the scene is cleared,” a police spokesperson said.
New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi said shortly after 7am that all vehicles have been moved clear and all lanes reopened.
“Traffic remains heavy so continue to allow extra time as delays ease,” an NZTA spokesperson said.
Separate crash in Auckland’s Onehunga
Meanwhile, a separate two-vehicle crash on the Southwestern Motorway in Onehunga was also causing delays this morning.
The crash, near the Neilson Street on-ramp, was reported to police just after 7am.
“There are no reports of injury, however one southbound lane has been blocked,” a police spokesperson said.
Motorists were advised to expect delays, or seek an alternative route while the scene was cleared.
