Huawei is pushing an important software patch for the global variant of the Watch GT 5 Pro wearable. The device is running on the HarmonyOS 6.0 build number, and it is eligible for the major 6.1 version upgrade, packed with many prominent features.
The company is sending HarmonyOS 6.1 to its flagship smartwatches and the GT 5 Pro is also on the list. But the device hasn’t received the major software update yet.
Instead, Huawei has released an important HarmonyOS patch for the Watch GT 5 Pro that improves system stability, avoiding general issues that can ruin the experience.
According to the details, the new HarmonyOS patch for the Watch GT 5 Pro is tiny and contains no major changes except for important system optimizations. The update is rolling out with the version HarmonyOS 6.0.0.32 and a 1.39MB package size.

System stability patches are quite important as they fix internal problems of the device. For instance, frequent freezing, Bluetooth connectivity lags, issues with notifications, pairing problems, app crashing, delayed response, and more.
It’s unclear whether the Watch GT 5 Pro was dealing with any of the above-mentioned issues. But if you have come across any such problems, then the latest patch will fix them. Being a small update, it won’t take much time in the installation process.
Before updating, make sure that the Huawei Health app is running on the latest version. Do not disconnect Bluetooth during the update. Note that the wearable will auto-restart after the installation process is complete. Hence, wait patiently.
