The streamer dropped the official Season 4 trailer yesterday at San Diego Comic-Con, alongside a first teaser for the Neagley spinoff, giving fans their clearest look yet at what’s coming. The new season adapts Lee Child’s Gone Tomorrow, though the story has been relocated from New York to Philadelphia as Reacher gets pulled into investigating a stranger’s suicide on a subway train.
Alan Ritchson, who returns for a fourth run as the drifting ex-military cop, isn’t shy about hyping what’s ahead, calling it “by far the best season we’ve had yet” and describing the action as a “labyrinth of fights.” Production reports back that up, with word that the crew shot 11 fights within the shoot’s opening month alone. Three episodes land August 12, followed by a weekly rollout through the season finale on September 16, right before Neagley picks up the baton with Maria Sten leading her own eight-episode spinoff.
The trailer landed at Comic-Con, the premiere is set

The streamer also confirmed the rollout: the first three episodes arrive on August 12, 2026, followed by one episode per week until the finale on September 16, 2026, for 8 episodes total.
Gone Tomorrow, relocated to Philadelphia
This season adapts Gone Tomorrow, Lee Child’s 13th Jack Reacher novel and one of the wildest entries in the saga. The story opens with Reacher investigating a stranger’s suicide aboard a subway train, a thread that unravels into a geopolitical conspiracy. The novel takes place in New York, but the production moved the action to Philadelphia, a change confirmed by Men’s Journal ahead of the trailer reveal.
A “labyrinth of fights” and new faces
Alan Ritchson, back as Jack Reacher, told Collider this is “by far the best season we’ve had yet”. He separately described the new episodes as a “labyrinth of fights” to Men’s Journal, and the production backed up the claim with a concrete number: 11 fights shot in the first four weeks of filming, a clear escalation from previous seasons.
First-look photos released on July 24 introduced several newcomers to the cast, including Sydelle Noel as Tamara Green, Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette as Jacob Merrick and Kevin Weisman as Russell Plum. Prime Video has yet to itemize the full returning lineup for the season.
A franchise expanding on two fronts
The Comic-Con panel doubled as a roadmap for the series’ future. Reacher has already been renewed for a fifth season, and an 8-episode spinoff titled Neagley, starring Maria Sten, got its own teaser trailer during the event. The spinoff will debut on Prime Video right after the season 4 finale, keeping the franchise on screens through the fall.
The stakes are commercially obvious. Season 3 drew 54.6 million viewers in its first 19 days on the platform, a figure Amazon highlighted when it announced the season 4 premiere date on June 30. If Ritchson’s assessment holds, the numbers posted after August 12 could climb even higher.
