Dean Devlin and Jonathan Glassner’s deep-space survival drama is back – and season 3 arrives at a pivotal moment for the crew of Ark One.
After defeating Evelyn Maddox (Jelena Stupljanin) and breaking her hold over the Trappist colonists, the survivors have finally set down on a habitable world, dubbed Homebase 1, ending years of life aboard the ship.
Now, season 3 splits its focus in two. One group stays planet-side to build a permanent colony, while Captain Sharon Garnet (Christie Burke) takes Ark One back into space on a search-and-rescue mission for the other lost Ark vessels.
“That’s what’s so great about season three is there’s so many new storylines,” star Christie Burke said. “It’s more about everybody’s own internal journey. Everyone’s favorite character has—for lack of a pun—an arc this season, which makes for a more colourful show.”

The Ark season 3 premieres on Wednesday 29 July 2026 at 10pm ET/PT on Syfy in the US.
In the UK, The Ark season 3 is coming soon to Sky Go and NOW but no release date has been confirmed.
That means that in the US, new episodes will land every Wednesday on Syfy.
Based on the weekly schedule, the run is set to continue through to mid-October 2026, with the finale expected on Wednesday 14 October 2026. The season opens with an episode titled “It All Happened So Fast”, picking up the twin threads of the fledgling colony and Ark One’s toughest rescue mission yet.
