Sault Ste. Marie Police are reminding residents to be bear wise after having a close encounter earlier this week.
A black bear climbed up a utility pole outside the Police Services Building on Wednesday.
Officers monitored the furry visitor from a safe distance.
Once the bear made its way back down to the ground, it was given an escort back to the woods.
No people or bears were injured.
