Huawei is working on an interesting strategy – dual launch events against its global smartphone rival Apple. The company is making headlines for holding two release conferences in the same month to dim the glow of Apple’s 2026 iPhone creations.
For the first time in two years, Huawei is expected to unveil its Mate phones in September. Before this, the company has been launching its flagship by late November.
This could be due to a revamped supply chain. Following the US sanctions, the company struggled to meet consumer demand in the market. But over time, it has managed chipset production and since then, things are moving smoothly.
On the other hand, Apple is prepared to steal the spotlight this year with its first foldable – iPhone Ultra. The company has even reportedly skipped the vanilla version from the iPhone 18 series to draw attention primarily to the fold and Pro models.
Earlier, Huawei used to launch its tri-fold smartphone against Apple iPhone handsets. As Apple has two dynamic products to take center stage this year, the Chinese OEM is up with a dual launch strategy, aiming to make an impression in the market.
Dual Launch Strategy
Inputs reveal that the company will introduce the Mate XT 2 triple foldable in early September – as usual while releasing the Mate 90 series by the end of the month.
This dual launch strategy will cover Huawei throughout the month against Apple iPhone 18 Pro and the first iPhone fold. The Chinese firm has already implemented many ultimate upgrades to the 2026 Mate phones to garner attention, and the new debut plan will further hold consumers for its products.
Huawei hasn’t officially mentioned any such plans yet. The news is solely based on leaks at present. Though there is a chance that the company can make this move against its biggest competitor.
