July 2026 has reached an end; meanwhile, Huawei has picked up pace and is releasing a new EMUI security update for two of its flagship foldables. The latest firmware is coming with new security improvements that will increase the device’s potential to fight against malware.

While a security patch doesn’t contain any big changes, it is an essential part of Huawei’s software rollout policy. These patches ensure that the device remains free of bugs and privacy exploits that could leak data, ruining the user experience.

Huawei is now sending the July 2026 security update to two of its flagship foldables: Mate X7 and Mate X3. The former is getting the new firmware with the EMUI 15.0.0.160 version and a software package of 419 Megabytes.

Mate X3 global users, on the other hand, can identify the July 2026 security improvements with the EMUI 14.2.0.205 build number and 345 Megabytes.

Both updates bring July 2026 security patches for improved system security. The company is rolling out the new firmware in a staged rollout and could take some time to reach your handset. Though you can try manual installation.

Just open the Settings app and navigate to the System Update option. Select the Software Update tab and click on CHECK FOR UPDATES.
