HarmonyOS 7 is bringing a new charging feature called “direct power supply” for Huawei phones. The specific capability is rolling out with the latest beta version and claims to improve the charging aspect to a greater extent than ever before.
The Chinese OEM has sent the first HarmonyOS 7 closed beta patch with the version 7.0.0.100 to its eligible devices like the Mate 80 flagship. While the changelog says it has just optimized interface display effects, there is a lot more in this update.
Users noted that the new HarmonyOS 7 beta patch has brought a direct power supply feature for Huawei phones. The devices given below are currently supporting it:
Pura 90 Series
Standard Pura X Max
Nova 16 Series
Mate 80 Pro
Mate 80 Pro Max
Mate 70 Pro
Mate 70 Pro+
Pura 80 Pro+
According to the details, the new feature will enable the device to power up directly when it reaches the effective charge level. This implementation will prevent heat generation due to long charging or at times when you forget to turn it off.
Once enabled, the feature will automatically disable after charging the device completely and will apply only to a single charge. The description of the new feature reads:
“When charging to the effective charging level, power is supplied directly to the device, reducing heat generation. Once activated, this function is only effective for a single charge and automatically deactivates after charging is complete.”
Users can set the “effective power” level at which they want the new feature to be enabled accordingly. The levels are 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, and 80%.
HarmonyOS 7.0 appears to be a more practical upgrade than the previous software version. The company will unveil more interesting and useful changes to this iteration with the upcoming updates.
