A bear warning is in effect on a Kananaskis trail after two bikers had a close encounter with a black bear sow and her cubs.
Alberta Parks says the bear bluff-charged the bikers on the Horseshoe Loop Trail before retreating into the bush after bear spray was deployed.

The warning took effect Aug. 7 and remains in place until further notice.
Visitors are reminded to carry accessible bear spray, travel in groups and make noise while watching for signs of wildlife.
