A sculpture in gardens overlooking Dorset’s Jurassic Coast has been replaced after being vandalised.
The steel wire artwork of the seated figure, entitled Reader, was created to sit on a park bench by artist Vik Westaway as part of a trail in Langmoor Gardens, Lyme Regis.
A new version was commissioned by the town council after the original was “repeatedly vandalised”.
After it was unveiled in the gardens which overlook the town, Westaway said the new sculpture “feels part of the place now”.
