AustralianSuper has taken its first, cautious stake in Elon Musk’s SpaceX, with the country’s biggest pension fund wary of betting member savings on his latest trillion-dollar business venture after a volatile first two months on the market.

In the $410 billion investment giant’s latest filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, AustralianSuper disclosed a minor 73,500-share stake in the space technology developer, which listed in early June in the largest initial public offering in history.
