The winning streak is officially broken. Lisa and Rosco smashed Courtney and Sev’s hopes of a history-making Block trifecta, taking out top spot with a main bedroom suite that the judges felt was close to perfect.
Before the tools even went down, host Scott Cam upped the ante by cranking up the final grand prize. On top of keeping their auction profits, the ultimate season winner will now snag a Plungie Pool and $150,000 cash — a prize pool Scotty promised to keep fattening up every single week.

How Tayla destroyed Scott Cam’s knee
Lisa and Rosco’s walk-in robe, designed by Courtney and Sev, helped them to the win.
After a tiling disaster undid them in week two, Lisa and Rosco came back strong thanks, in part, to an impressive walk-in robe layout created by Courtney and Sev when they still had the keys to House Three. Courtney and Sev essentially gifted their rivals the winning blueprint, and with Lisa’s “quiet luxury” styling on top, the judges were won over.
“Oh, what a gift!” Marty cheered.

Moving into the master bedroom, the praise kept rolling for their sweeping architectural curves and gorgeous lime plaster walls that mirrored the coastline. The only flaw? A lack of block-out blinds.
Over in House One, Adam and Jolene kicked off judging with a strong showing, serving up a rendered feature wall, elevated palette, and clever wardrobe storage that impressed across the board. Darren was practically swooning over the textured wall, and Shaynna loved the low wardrobe drawer that doubled as a bench (even if she wished they’d thrown a cushion on it).
The judges loved Adam and Jolene’s walk-in robe.
However, Marty wasn’t sold on the raw timber wall, and Shaynna declared the bedroom severely over-styled. Her biggest gripe?
The laundry hamper that should’ve been tucked away in the wardrobes.
“Nobody wants to lie in bed and look at a laundry hamper,” she argued, urging the pair to learn the art of editing.
Adam and Jolene’s master bedroom was too busy, the judges said.
Fresh off his dental drama, House Two’s Wyatt found a brand-new ailment to complain about: a headache from painting. Even worse, the poor petal had to skip his precious barbell workout to pick up a paintbrush. When it came to judging, his and Chantel’s “light, white, and bright” wardrobe left everyone cold.
Because Chantel ran out of time to style it, the judges found it clinical and boring with Marty warning Chantel that bringing heritage styling into a modern house was “as wrong as putting tomato sauce on sushi”.

Thankfully, the master bedroom saved them. The judges flipped for the high-standard Venetian plaster and minimalist feel, with Marty calling it a total photographic dream — even if the bedside tables desperately needed drawers to hide clutter.

In House Five, Tayla accidentally mismeasured her window treatments during her mad dash to the finish line.
“They look like culottes on the window!” she cried in despair as her ankle-biting drapes hung in shame. Despite the curtain catastrophe, she and Rick impressed with their soaring ceilings, skylights, warm Venetian plaster, and architectural curves. While their walk-in robe was just as tight as House Four’s smarter handle choices made it feel far less claustrophobic. Ultimately, though, the judges felt let down by the unmemorable styling and mismatched bedside furniture, proving that great bones still need the right outfit.

Finally, former competition favourites, Courtney and Sev found themselves DOA this week. To rub extra salt into their wounds, they were forced to build the closet space Lisa had originally designed — a claustrophobic pink turkey of a wardrobe that the
judges despised.

“I can’t believe they’ve given up House Three and adopted this,” Marty gasped, warning the cramped corridor was a recipe for marital spats.
To make matters worse, just 24 hours before reveal, Foreman Dan discovered the girls’ fireplace wall was badly bowed, forcing them to tear apart the framing, repair studs, replaster, and dry the wall in a frantic race against the clock. They failed to finish before tools down, killing their dreams of three wins in a row. (Though they did pocket $10,000 for winning the weekly budget challenge, so… silver linings?)
Courtney and Sev’s master bedroom gave off funeral parlour vibes.
When the judges walked into their master bedroom, the space was ripped to shreds.
Trying to recreate their Week One winning magic, Sev resurrected a massive, upholstered bedhead — except this time, Shaynna thought it looked like it belonged in a funeral parlour. “I feel like a body has been laid to rest on that bed,” Shaynna gasped.

Marty went one step further, branding the room a “high-end coffin” and roasting the coffered ceiling as a “coffin ceiling”. With Marty noting Sev’s fireplace tiling was completely “on the piss” alongside cold lighting, filthy surfaces, and rushed execution, Courtney and Sev received a truly brutal reality check.
As Marty likes to say, and did: “A rooster one week and feather duster the next!”
