An item believed to be an old grenade was found at a West Auckland business this afternoon, sparking calls to police and the Defence Force.

Police said the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) has helped with the disposal of an “old grenade” from a business on The Concourse in
Henderson.

“Police advised the NZDF EOD [explosive ordnance disposal] team, who have uplifted what is believed to be an old grenade for disposal.”
