The Aeroroutes site said the service on the 471-seater superjumbo operation was being extended until at least September 24 next year.
A move to the bigger aircraft would mean about 37,000 more seats to Auckland from late March to late September.
It seemed the A380 would replace the Boeing 777-300ER on one Singapore Airlines service each way every day.
Auckland Airport chief customer officer Scott Tasker said the added capacity reflected strong demand for travel between Singapore and Auckland.
“Singapore has always been a popular stopover point for travellers with the incredible onward connectivity through the Singapore Airlines network,” he said.
He said travellers looking for more seat availability, especially over the European summer next year, would welcome the move.
“Strong international connectivity is critical for New Zealand’s economy, helping move people, goods and investment while supporting tourism and trade.”
He said Singapore’s Changi Airport was a major passenger and cargo hub, providing important global connectivity for New Zealand businesses, exporters and travellers.
Singapore Airlines has been approached for comment.
According to Aeroroutes, flight SQ285 would leave Singapore every day at 10.50pm local time and arrive in Auckland at 12.20pm New Zealand time.
The return service, SQ238, would leave Auckland at 2.10pm NZT and arrive when it’s 9pm in Singapore.
The four-engined A380 is the world’s only full-length double-deck airliner.
The Singapore Airlines A380-800 is 72.7m long with a 79.8m wingspan.
The airline’s 777-300ER has 264 seats.
Singapore’s A380 has 343 economy seats on the main deck and 44 in premium economy.
Upstairs, it has six suites and 78 seats in business class.
Singapore Airlines’ strategic partner Air New Zealand has said it will deploy its biggest aircraft, the Boeing 777, for Auckland-Singapore flights this southern summer.
