Shastri said four alleged masked offenders were involved, and one person was armed with a weapon.
No one was injured. Shastri said his wife was out the back when the intruders entered and no customers were inside the shop.
“They have stolen some of the smokes and the till.”
No money was taken because the till was not in the till drawer.
He said the store’s fog cannon activated and the offenders were inside briefly, before leaving in a green hatchback.
He said the ordeal was “the last thing we want”.
A police spokesman said a youth was arrested.
“He has been charged with aggravated robbery and unlawful conversion of a motor vehicle.
“Cordons were in place while police were in attendance as a precaution.
“Inquiries into the matter are ongoing, including inquiries to locate the remaining alleged offender.”
