John Ingledew’s seventh book, Inspired! The Joy of Street Creativity, will be published by Stroud-based Quickthorn Books on November 7.
The 112-page book features full-colour photographs showing examples of ‘street creativity’ – imaginative problem-solving using materials and objects that happen to be at hand.
It includes improvised responses to everyday situations alongside more carefully considered solutions, showing how familiar and discarded objects can be adapted or repurposed.
Mr Ingledew has worked across photography, printmaking, typography, textiles, ceramics and collage, as well as teaching graphic design, fine art and fashion.
His previous books include How to Have Great Ideas and The A–Z of Visual Ideas.
Mr Ingledew will discuss Inspired! at Stroud Book Festival at 7.30pm on November 7.
The paperback will cost £25.
